How it works

  1. 01

    Paste your links

One video, a list of links with one per line (10 at a time on the free plan, up to 250 on Pro), or on paid plans a playlist or channel link.

  2. 02

    Choose Excel or CSV

Pick Excel or CSV next to the tabs. Leave Timestamps off for one row per video, or switch it on for one row per caption line with start and end times.

  3. 03

    Open it in your spreadsheet

The file opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers or LibreOffice. Hindi, Telugu and other scripts display correctly.

Why use Free YT Bulk Transcripts

One row per video

Columns: Title, Video ID, Video URL, Words and the full Transcript as one readable paragraph.

Or one row per caption line

With Timestamps on: Start, End and Text for every caption line, plus Title and Video ID when the file has several videos.

Skipped videos listed

In Excel, videos without captions get their own "Skipped videos" sheet with the reason, so nothing goes missing silently.

Safe, clean data

Very long transcripts continue on extra rows instead of being cut off, and captions can never run as spreadsheet formulas.

Frequently asked questions

How do I export a YouTube transcript to Excel?

Paste the video link (or many links), choose Excel next to the tabs and click Get transcript. Then download the .xlsx file. Leave Timestamps off for one row per video, or turn it on for one row per caption line.

Can I export transcripts of many videos into one spreadsheet?

Yes. Paste up to 250 links, or a playlist or channel on paid plans, and download all of them in one Excel or CSV file.

Does the Excel file include timestamps?

Only if you want them. With Timestamps on, each caption line gets its own row with Start and End times. With it off, each video is one row with the whole transcript as a paragraph.

Will Hindi or other languages display correctly?

Yes. Text is kept exactly as written, and the CSV file is saved as UTF-8 so Excel shows Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and other scripts correctly.

Is Excel export free?

Excel and CSV export work on every account, including the 25 free credits new accounts get. You only use credits for transcripts you receive.
