1. The service
Free YT Bulk Transcripts ("we", "us") lets you download the captions that YouTube already has for a video (added by the creator or generated automatically) as text, subtitles or spreadsheets. We don't create, edit or translate captions. Videos without captions, private videos and invalid links can't be processed.
We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. "YouTube" is a trademark of Google LLC.
2. Your account
- Use a real email address you can access; we send sign-in and reset codes there.
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- The free trial (25 credits) is one per person. Creating extra accounts to get more free credits is not allowed.
- Without an account you can preview the transcripts of 10 videos a day, shown on screen only. Downloads, many links at once, playlists and channels need an account. To keep that limit fair we briefly record your network and a random identifier created by your browser, both scrambled one-way and deleted automatically after 2 days; see our Privacy Policy.
- You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under 18 you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
3. Credits and payments
- One credit is used for each video transcript delivered successfully. Videos without captions, private videos and invalid links don't use credits.
- Credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Prices are shown on the site in US dollars, and your local currency may be shown as an estimate.
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which may also handle taxes, receipts and billing questions for your purchase.
- Purchased credits don't expire. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred to another account.
- How many links you can paste per run, and features such as playlist and channel links, depend on the pack you bought, as described on the pricing section.
- Credit packs use a priority fast lane, which is usually faster than free use. Speed always depends on YouTube and the network, so we don't guarantee a particular speed; free use keeps working as described.
4. Refunds
You only use credits for successful transcripts, so we don't refund credits that have already been used. If something went wrong, for example you were charged twice or your credits didn't arrive, contact us within 14 days of the purchase and we'll fix it or refund you. If you haven't used any credits from a pack, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of buying it. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law where you live.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use the service for anything illegal, or to infringe other people's rights;
- try to get around credit limits, free-trial or free-preview limits (for example by switching VPNs or networks) or other restrictions, or create accounts automatically;
- use bots, scripts or scrapers on the site, overload it, or try to break into it or other people's accounts;
- resell or offer the service itself to others without our written permission.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close your account for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we'll refund any unused purchased credits.
6. Transcripts and copyright
Videos and their captions belong to their creators and rights holders, not to us and not automatically to you. You are responsible for how you use the transcripts you download: for example personal study, research, accessibility, or quoting with credit. Make sure your use is allowed by copyright law and by YouTube's rules, and get permission from the creator where it's needed.
7. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the service running, but it's provided "as is". YouTube can change how captions work at any time, which may stop some videos from working or interrupt the service. Captions may contain mistakes, especially automatic ones. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut the service down for good, we'll give notice and refund unused purchased credits.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost data) arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. API keys and connected apps
You can reach your account from your own code with an API key, or connect an AI assistant (such as Claude or Cursor) to it. Both use the same credits and the same limits as the website.
- Keys and tokens are passwords. Anyone holding one can spend your credits, so keep them to yourself: don't paste them into a chat, a public repository or a screenshot.
- You're responsible for what they do. Anything done with your key, or by an app you connected, counts as done by you — including the credits it spends.
- You can withdraw access at any time. Revoke a key, or disconnect an app, from your account; it stops working on the very next request.
- Connected apps can only fetch transcripts and read your remaining credits. They cannot change your account, create keys, or see your payment details.
- We may revoke a key or a connection if it is used to break these terms, to get around limits, or in a way that threatens the service for other people.
If a key or token is lost or exposed, revoke it in your account straight away and make a new one. Credits already spent with it can't normally be restored.
10. Other terms
- Privacy: how we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
- Changes: we may update these terms; we'll change the date at the top and tell you about important changes by email or on the site. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
- Governing law: these terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any consumer protections you have in your own country.
