AI transcripts for videos without captions Coming soon

Some videos have no captions at all. We're building AI speech-to-text that listens to the video's audio and creates the transcript for you, in the same formats you use today.

Get your transcripts in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Paste your links

Drop a single YouTube link, or a list with one link per line: normal videos and Shorts both work. On paid plans, paste a playlist or channel link and we add its videos for you.

  2. 02

    Cloud caption decoding

Our servers read each video's existing captions (English when available, otherwise the video's own language), with no video download needed, and add the real video title.

  3. 03

    Search, copy, or export

Search inside the transcript, copy it straight into ChatGPT or your notes, or download one video or the whole batch as TXT, SRT, JSON, CSV, Excel or ZIP.

Use it inside Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT

Connect your account to Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT, or call the API from your own code. Same credits, same limits, nothing new to learn — and the full setup guide is on the connector page.

Connect once

Paste one address into your assistant and approve it. There is no key to copy or keep safe, and it takes about a minute.

Ask in plain words

“Fetch every transcript in this playlist.” It expands the playlist and brings the transcripts back into the chat.

Still your credits

One credit per transcript delivered, exactly as on the site. Disconnect whenever you like and it stops working immediately.

Flexible credit packs for creators and teams

1 credit = 1 successful transcript. Videos we can't transcribe are never charged. New accounts get 25 free credits to try it (one free trial per person).

Frequently asked questions

What happens if a video has no captions?

We can only read captions that YouTube already has, either added by the creator or auto-generated. If a video has none, it's marked "No captions" and costs 0 credits. Very new videos and live streams sometimes don't have captions yet.

Coming soon: we're working on AI transcripts that listen to the video's audio, so videos without captions can be transcribed too.

Which download formats can I choose?

TXT (plain text), SRT subtitles for video editors like Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut, JSON, CSV, Excel, or a ZIP with everything. VTT subtitles and Markdown are in the download buttons above each transcript, and in the ZIP. Turn on Timestamps (next to the formats) to add times to TXT, CSV and Excel.

Are private or unlisted YouTube videos supported?

Unlisted videos with a shared link are fully supported. Private videos or videos restricted behind a login wall cannot be accessed by our cloud decoder.

Can I paste a playlist or channel link?

Yes, on paid plans. Paste a playlist link (youtube.com/playlist?list=…) or a channel link (youtube.com/@name) and its videos are added automatically, up to your plan's links per run (50, 100 or 250). Channels are read newest first; for big playlists and channels you choose where to start (for example video 101 to get the next 100), so you can work through everything in steps. If you paste a video that was opened from a playlist, we ask whether you want just that video or the whole playlist. You're only charged for videos that have captions; private or deleted videos are skipped. YouTube "Mix" playlists can't be used, and Watch later / Liked videos are private to your Google account: add those videos to a normal playlist set to Unlisted and paste that link instead.

Does it work for Hindi, Telugu and other languages?

Yes. English is the default: we use the video's English captions when it has them, otherwise its captions in its own language (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Spanish and so on). To get another language, pick it in the Captions menu next to the link box. Titles and text are kept exactly as they are in every download format. We don't translate.

Which language will my transcript be in?

English by default. If a video has no English captions, you get its captions in its own language (for example Hindi), and the result says so. To get another language, choose it in the Captions menu next to the link box; it applies to every video in that run, including playlists and channels. If a video doesn't have the language you chose, you get its English captions, or its own language if it has no English, and the result row tells you which. Each result shows the language it came in.

What if I don't have enough credits for my whole list?

We keep going until your credits are actually used up. Videos without captions don't use credits, so they don't count. Links that couldn't be processed are marked "Not processed · out of credits", and you can copy them and run them again after topping up.

Can I try it without creating an account?

Yes. Paste one YouTube video link and click Get transcript: the full transcript appears on screen, free, with no sign-up. You can do this for 10 videos a day. A free account adds downloads (TXT, SRT, Excel and more), many links at once, and 25 free credits.

Is the paid version faster than the free one?

Usually, yes. Credit packs get a priority fast lane: their videos go through our premium connection with capacity reserved for paying customers, so they never wait behind free traffic, and a slow fetch is retried in parallel. Free use works as before, and videos already in our cache are instant for everyone. Exact speed always depends on YouTube.

How do the 25 free credits work?

New accounts get 25 free credits after confirming their email with the 6-digit code. It's one free trial per person: accounts created again from the same device or network don't get another trial. Purchased credits are always added in full.

I didn't get my verification code. What should I do?

Check your spam and promotions folders first. On the code screen, "Resend code" becomes available after 60 seconds. If you closed that screen, just sign in with your email and password: we'll send a fresh code and show the code screen again.

How accurate are the transcripts?

They are exactly the captions YouTube has for the video. Captions added by the creator are usually accurate; auto-generated ones can misspell names and places.

Is my payment safe?

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified processor. Your card details go directly to them; we never see or store your card information.

Do purchased credits ever expire?

No. All purchased credits remain in your balance indefinitely until consumed by successful extractions.

I have a problem or question. Who do I contact?

Email us at [email protected]. You can also simply reply to any email we've sent you. To help us fix things quickly, please include:

  • the email address of your account
  • the YouTube link(s) that didn't work, if any
  • a screenshot of the error message
  • for payment questions: the receipt or payment ID from your Dodo Payments email

Please never send us your password or card details. We will never ask for them.

Contact support
Can I use it inside Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT?

Yes. Connect your account once and ask for transcripts without leaving the chat — “fetch every transcript in this playlist” works just as it does here. It spends the same credits, with the same limits. Claude and Cursor connect by pasting one address; ChatGPT needs developer mode switched on. Setup instructions are on our connector page. You can disconnect any app at any time and it stops working immediately.

Is there an API I can call from my own code?

Yes. Generate an API key from the menu at the top right, then send it as a Bearer token. It reaches the same account and the same credits as the website, so a free account's 25 credits work through it too. Keys can be revoked at any time, and a key can only fetch transcripts — it cannot change your account or see your payment details.
